Care Guide

1. Light:

  • Requires bright, filtered light, ideally 50–70% sunlight.

  • Can tolerate some direct morning sun; avoid strong midday sun to prevent leaf burn.

2. Temperature:

  • Day: 75–85°F (24–29°C)

  • Night: 60–70°F (15–21°C)

  • Sensitive to frost and prolonged cold; keep above 55°F (13°C).

3. Humidity:

  • Prefers 60–80% humidity.

  • Mist regularly if air is dry, but ensure good air circulation to avoid fungal infections.

4. Watering:

  • Water thoroughly, allowing roots to partially dry between watering.

  • In summer or hot climates, water every 1–2 days; in winter, reduce frequency.

  • Avoid letting roots sit in stagnant water.

5. Fertilizer:

  • Use a balanced orchid fertilizer (20-20-20) at half strength every 1–2 weeks during active growth.

  • Reduce feeding during dormancy or slower growth periods.

6. Mounting/Potting:

  • Can be grown in hanging baskets, mounted on slabs, or in pots with coarse bark or charcoal media.

  • Roots need excellent air circulation to thrive.

7. Flowering:

  • Typically blooms in spring or summer.

  • Flowers last 2–3 weeks and appear on upright spikes from the base of the stem.
