    Schefflera arboricola, commonly known as the dwarf umbrella tree, is a popular evergreen shrub native to Taiwan. It's cherished for its attractive, glossy, palmate leaves and adaptability as a houseplant.

    Key Characteristics:

    • Foliage: Features compound leaves with 7-9 obovate-oblong to elliptic leaflets, each measuring 4-6 inches long, arranged in a circular pattern resembling an umbrella.

    • Growth Habit: In its natural habitat, it can reach heights of 10-25 feet. When cultivated indoors, it typically grows to 3-6 feet tall, making it suitable for various indoor spaces.

    Care Requirements:

    • Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions. Insufficient light may cause leggy growth.

    • Watering: Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so ensure the pot has adequate drainage.

    • Humidity: Prefers moderate humidity levels but is adaptable to average household humidity. Regular misting or placing the plant on a humidity tray can help maintain optimal moisture.

    • Temperature: Ideal temperatures range between 60°F to 75°F (15°C to 24°C). Protect from drafts and sudden temperature changes.

    • Soil: Requires well-draining soil. A mix designed for houseplants or a combination of potting soil with perlite or sand works well.

    Do you ship year-round?

    Yes – we ship every week of the year! However, in the case of extreme weather conditions or emergency situations (e.g. flooding/fires that would interupt couriers), we may delay shipping until it is safe to ship.

    How long will it take to recieve my order?

    We always choose overnight or express shipping options. Once shipped, most orders arrive in 1-2 days in Canada and the USA. Depending on your location, shipping might take longer. Occassionally, customs clearance might take an additional day.

    Where do products ship from?

    We ship orders from our store or specialized grow facility in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

    Do I recieve a tracking number?

    A tracking number will be emailed to you once your order has shipped. You can also find your order and tracking information under your account.

    What's the process to return an item if I decide I don'twant it?

    We will gladly accept returns for a refund, provided the items and plants have not been damaged, propogated, or repotted. Returned plants are subject to a 10% restocking fee, due to the recovery care needed for returned plants, and shipping/permit costs are nonrefundable. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs as well as all paperwork required to ship back to Canada (e.g. phytosanitary certificates).
