Lithops, commonly known as living stones or pebble plants, are small, stemless succulents native to southern Africa. Their unique appearance, resembling stones or pebbles, serves as camouflage in their natural rocky habitats, protecting them from herbivores.

Key Characteristics:

  • Appearance: Lithops consist of two thick, fleshy leaves fused together, forming a slit at the center from which a daisy-like flower emerges during their blooming season. The leaves' colors and patterns vary, often mimicking the surrounding stones.

  • Size: Typically, they grow up to 1 inch (2.5 cm) above the soil surface, with a spread of about 1-3 inches (2.5-7.5 cm).

Cultivation and Care:

  • Light: Require at least 4-5 hours of direct sunlight daily. A south-facing window is ideal.

  • Watering: Water sparingly. During their active growth period (spring and fall), water only when the soil is completely dry. In summer and winter, reduce watering significantly, as they enter dormancy.

  • Soil: Use a well-draining cactus or succulent mix with minimal organic matter. Adding coarse sand or perlite enhances drainage.

  • Temperature: Prefer temperatures between 65°F to 80°F (18°C to 27°C). Protect from frost and avoid exposure to temperatures below 50°F (10°C).

How long will it take to recieve my order?

We always choose overnight or express shipping options. Once shipped, most orders arrive in 1-2 days in Canada and the USA. Depending on your location, shipping might take longer. Occassionally, customs clearance might take an additional day.

A tracking number will be emailed to you once your order has shipped. You can also find your order and tracking information under your account.

We will gladly accept returns for a refund, provided the items and plants have not been damaged, propogated, or repotted. Returned plants are subject to a 10% restocking fee, due to the recovery care needed for returned plants, and shipping/permit costs are nonrefundable.
