The Ficus Audrey (Ficus benghalensis), also known as the Indian Banyan, is a striking and elegant indoor tree with large, glossy, dark green leaves. It is a popular choice for homes and offices due to its attractive foliage, ease of care, and its ability to create a dramatic tropical look. The Ficus Audrey Standard refers to a Ficus Audrey that has been trained into a standard form, with a single trunk and a canopy of leaves on top, similar to a small tree or bonsai-style plant.

Care Guide for Ficus Audrey Standard:

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light, but can tolerate some direct sunlight for a few hours each day. Too much direct sunlight may scorch its leaves, so it’s best to keep it in a spot with filtered light.

Watering: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Ficus Audrey trees do not like to sit in soggy soil, so ensure the pot has good drainage. Let the soil dry out slightly between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot.

Humidity: Ficus Audrey thrives in moderate to high humidity. If the air is dry, consider misting the plant occasionally or using a humidifier to provide a more humid environment, especially during the winter months when indoor air tends to be dry.

Temperature: The ideal temperature range for the Ficus Audrey is 65-75°F (18-24°C). Keep the plant away from cold drafts or areas with sudden temperature fluctuations, as it can stress the plant.

Soil: Requires well-draining, loamy soil. A high-quality, all-purpose potting mix for houseplants works well, as long as it drains well.

Fertilization: Feed your Ficus Audrey with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce or stop fertilization during the fall and winter when the plant is in a resting period.

Growth Habit: The Ficus Audrey grows into a small tree-like structure, reaching about 4-6 feet tall indoors. It has a single trunk with a canopy of large, oval-shaped leaves. Regular pruning may be required to maintain its shape.

Pruning: To maintain the shape and remove any dead or damaged foliage, regularly prune the plant. You can also trim back the top to encourage branching and a bushier appearance.

Toxicity: Ficus Audrey is toxic to pets (cats and dogs) and humans if ingested. It contains sap that can cause skin irritation or mild gastrointestinal issues, so keep it out of reach of pets and children.

Selling Tips for Your Store:

Sophisticated Appearance: Highlight the elegant, tree-like structure and large, glossy leaves. The standard form of this plant is perfect for customers looking for a bold, sophisticated indoor plant that makes a statement.

Low-Maintenance Appeal: Promote the Ficus Audrey as a relatively easy-care plant suitable for indoor spaces. Its ability to adapt to low light conditions and survive in moderate humidity makes it a great option for beginner plant owners or busy professionals.

Ideal Placement: Suggest the Ficus Audrey as an excellent plant for larger spaces, such as living rooms, offices, or entryways. Its height and canopy of leaves create a beautiful focal point for any room.

Stylish Pot Pairing: Show the plant in modern, decorative pots to complement its bold appearance. A sleek, neutral-colored pot will accentuate the plant's elegance and add to its visual impact.

Pet Safety Reminder: As it is toxic to pets, include a note on pet safety on your plant care tags to inform pet owners about the need to keep the plant out of reach.
